What I do

I build the infrastructure your teams stop fighting and your customers never notice.

I like the unglamorous end of frontend: build systems, pipelines, component libraries, the tooling nobody demos and everybody depends on.

Route

  1. Business management bachelor

Three years of management theory. I had no idea how much of it I would use once I was running a team.

  2. CODE University, Berlin

The subject that was always more fun than homework, upgraded from hobby to pivot. Packed a bag and switched countries to study it.

  3. Working student at Raisin

Picked up a part-time frontend role and started shipping things that mattered from week one.

  4. Full time, and growing fast

Migrations, greenfield builds, mobile, incident handling — enough of it to get tagged #pretty-stable all over Slack.

  5. Engineering team lead

Kept shipping code, just added a team to ship it with: led 9 engineers, ran hundreds of interviews, and owned Raisin's frontend direction.

  6. Rebuilt the frontend architecture

Monorepo architecture, shared component libraries, redesigns, analytics — everything frontend at an already-large company, end to end.

  7. Backpacking sabbatical

A 14-month career break, taken deliberately and at full length. Recommended — though rarely by anyone holding a hiring quota.

  8. Platform engineering

Came back into a newly formed platform team: frontend platform engineering for fifty-odd engineers — hosting, pipelines, monorepo, tooling.

  9. Hosting migration

Moved the entire frontend to a new hosting provider. Zero downtime, zero disruptions, zero drama.

  10. Small team, big impact

5x faster CI, an AI-assisted testing framework, caching wins, performance dashboards — you name it.

  11. Relocation & Freelancing

Moved to the Netherlands, went independent, and kept doing the platform work I love — now open to new teams and clients.
